What is EagleView Measurement?

EagleView is the industry-standard aerial-imagery measurement report for residential roofing. Reports include squares, pitch, ridges, valleys, hips, and facets — used for permits, material ordering, and insurance scope alignment.

What an EagleView report includes

The geometry data appears in a printable PDF report + can integrate with Xactimate and roofing CRMs (AccuLynx, JobNimbus, Roofr).

Typical EagleView pricing

EagleView reports run $20-$40 per residential property at this writing. Volume pricing available for high-volume contractors. For jobs already won, the cost is reasonable. For prospecting cold addresses at scale, the per-report cost adds up fast — a 200-home prospecting list at $30/report = $6,000 before knowing which addresses will respond.

How Roof Launch's auto-measurement complements EagleView

Roof Launch's auto-measurement uses Google Solar API rooftop geometry + satellite imagery to estimate squares, pitch, ridges, valleys, and hips on every render. The auto-estimate is within 5-8% of EagleView for typical pitched residential roofs — accurate enough to mail a real price band on a postcard, but not the final number for material commit.

The modern roofing stack uses both:

  1. Roof Launch for prospecting + acquisition — free auto-measurement on every render. Mail postcards with price bands on real square counts.
  2. EagleView at material-order time — pull the report once a deposit is paid + contract signed. Use EagleView numbers for material commit + permit submission + Xactimate scope alignment.

This sequence saves prospecting EagleView costs while preserving final-design accuracy where it matters.

Other roof measurement services

EagleView is dominant but not the only option:
